Sprints is thrilled to partner with Back Market, the refurbished electronics marketplace, leading the company’s Series E funding round of €450 million.

The world's #1 refurbished electronics marketplace

Founded in 2014 by Thibaud Hug de Larauze, Quentin Le Brouster, and Vianney Vaute, Back Market brings high-quality professionally refurbished electronic devices and appliances to more than five million customers across Europe, the United States and Japan. By offering the highest quality products (all sellers are carefully selected and evaluated), fast shipping, exceptional customer service and low prices, the company provides a superior alternative to buying new devices.

Today, Back Market is a significant contributor to the circular economy, with over 250,000 tons of CO2 saved to date. With waste from electronics representing the fastest growing solid-waste problem globally, it is catalysing a much-needed shift in consumer behaviour.

Back Market will use the new funding to accelerate its geographical expansion, primarily focusing on the United States, where it will double the size of the team in the next year.

We look forward to supporting the team on their mission of making refurbished electronics the first choice for tech purchases.
